Hey,
Well, this has a very and odd feel to it. This website is not about me, its about you. Presumably you’re reading this because you want to know a little about who put it all together. So, here goes:
I was born in 1960; a typical working class lad from my home town of Wolverhampton here in England.
I left school just as the industrial landscape changed in the UK. Lots of large employers, that had been around for many years, were closing down and moving their operations to those countries where it was cheaper to operate. It was a difficult time to find permanent work and I found myself made redundant from a few jobs in my chosen profession as a mechanical engineer.
I was fortunate to have the presence of mind to switch my career choices whilst I was still young. A great opportunity presented itself and I was accepted as a recruit in the West Midlands Fire Service in 1984. During my time I rose through the ranks to become a member of a team responsible for delivering training and supporting the development of personnel both at station level, and brigade level, for many of the brigade’s in England and Wales. I eventually retired from that role in 2014.
Life has continued to open up opportunities for me to explore and grow as a person. New challenges have come along, as they do for everyone, yet they are often packaged along with new opportunities to grow.
Lately, I have come to realise that we are all here on a journey of discovery and its part of my journey to use the skills I have picked up along the way to help you with yours.
All the best,
Andy
